Rental Agreement
LONG LAKE PONTOON RENTAL AGREEMENT
This Pontoon Rental Agreement is made and entered into by and between Long Lake Pontoon Rentals, LLC and you, as the Renter.
- Rental Property: Pontoon Boat, Condition: Used, well-maintained
- Renter understands that boat rental period begins at 9 am sharp and boat check-in is at 5 pm sharp. If you decide to bring the boat in early, you’re welcome to do so. Secure the boat to the dock using nautical rope. Lessor, or employee of Lessor, will be there at 5 pm to inspect the boat and confirm no damages done.
- Renter agrees to the fees on the website.
- Payment is to be made via Stripe.
- Renter’s Responsibilities:
– Renter must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license.
– Renter agrees to operate the pontoon in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all local, state, and federal boating laws.
– Renter shall not permit any unauthorized persons to operate the pontoon.
– Renter is responsible for any damage or loss caused to the pontoon during the rental period.
– Damaged propeller will result in a $400 charge.
– Renter shall raise propeller and use cation near all three sandbars.
- Lessor’s Responsibilities:
– Lessor will provide a safety orientation and operational instructions prior to departure.
– Lessor will ensure the pontoon is clean, fueled, and in good working condition at the start of the rental period.
- Liability and Insurance:
– Renter assumes all risk of injury, loss, or damage to persons or property, including the pontoon, arising from the use of the pontoon.
– Renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Lessor from any and all claims, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from Renter’s use of the pontoon.
- Cancellations and Refunds:
– Cancellations made 14 days in advance will receive a full refund.
– Cancellations made between 13-7 days in advance will forfeit 50% of the rental fee.
– Cancellations made 6 days before the reservation will forfeit 100% of rental fee.
– In the event of severe weather, the rental may be rescheduled at no additional charge, subject to availability, but Lessor will not refund.
– Once you leave the dock in a rented boat, we will consider the rental as fulfilled and no refunds or changes to the reservation dates/period will be made/given.
- Termination:
– Lessor reserves the right to terminate this Agreement immediately if Renter violates any terms or conditions of this Agreement.
- Governing Law:
– This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Michigan.
- Entire Agreement:
– This Agreement consists of two pages and is the entire rental agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior negotiations, representations, or agreements, whether written or oral.
